The return of The Araignée Noire ?!

There has been rumors circulation going around about the former infamous figure going by the name "The Araignée Noire". The name has been since abandoned by the said thief himself, however there are still rampage of noble houses and treasure being reported missing, is this the doing of the retired thief ? Is he back to his evil ways ? This is what he have to say when interviewed: "If the mere thoughts of your precious heirloom going missing despite having many and my name is the first one that you fear, is the treasure you're hoarding actually deserved ?" We still don't know whether or not the statement confirmed his involvement with the incidents, but what we do know is that he is feared around Fontaine for a very good reason.But who exactly is The Araignée Noire ? Fontaine is without its' history and his reputation is without its' origin.

Guidelines and Intro

Hello ! I usually go by Nick and I am a 20+ years old artist who loves to yap way too much about what I like. This blog is made because Niko is residing in my head rent free and I need an outlet !• Niko can be pretty mean and snarky at time, please don't be discourage or offended if his replies are not nice ! He could be nice but it's usually the exception, not the norm.• Niko is a single-ship and while he's currently not taken, there is only one character I shipped him with, that being Wanderer/Scaramouche and I don't share either. Please keep this in mind before following as I will block those who do ship with the same character for my own comfort (no personal feelings I promise !)• I am not very well-versed in Genshin lore so there will be mistakes lore-wise, don't be in my face about it please, it's rude, gentle reminders are fine.• This is a semi-selective and mutual only RP blog, while the blog is mostly SFW there can be occasionally (but rare) NSFW or suggestive themes, all I asked is for minors to not interact with posts tagged "cw suggestive" or "cw nsfw".• This RP blog also doubles as an ask blog ! So feel free to just send in questions strictly about Niko (questions about his thoughts on others is also acceptable) and it will be answered in character !• I am not a writer and English is not my first language so there will be grammar mistakes here and there, please be gentle on me....

I do prefer a Genshin muse over anything else as Niko is a Genshin-only character.• I don't do password but I promise I read everything before I follow !• I follow using my main so usually I don't follow back as I prefer to keep my dash mutual only due to anxiety, that being said, if I don't follow you back after 2 weeks feel free to unfollow ! If you want to create mutual then just talk to me, I don't bite !• Personals are welcomed to follow ! But please don't reblog any roleplay contents or reblog/like enmass. I will block you. Who is The Araignée Noire ?

 "Those in power are so comfortably using it to satisfy their wants. It made me sick." 

Former Grande Voleur and Fontaine's current prodigious inventor, his many Meks make him intimidating to others and his snarky and sarcastic personality certainly doesn't help. Beneath it all however is an ambitious young man who is always curious and striving for more.If you live in Fontaine enough, the name of the infamous Araignee Noire never failed to sent shiver down Fontainians' spines, for despite his crime being rather short-lived, the impact it left on the name of Fontaine has reached far and wide even outside of the region itself. Even so, the former thief himself has an active support group, those who agreed with his viewpoint and uphold what he stand by even till this day. If you see any merch of him, he'd rather you not bring his attention to it.Before Niko became renowned as a visionary of the future, he was merely an orphan with no place to call home. He shunned the company of others, relying solely on his own strength and resolve. Despite having never known warmth himself, an abundance of it lay dormant within him, creating an inner conflict that often led him to push away those who tried to get close. The trials he endured only deepened this divide. Yet, even in his moments of turmoil, he prioritized the well-being of others, neglecting his own needs, for he saw no worth in caring for himself.

Verses

The path I've chose to walk on — The canon one, where Niko is currently Fontaine's most reowned inventor and is currently residing in Sumeru while attending The Akademiya (for more info on his backstory, check this carrd here).The path I failed to pursue — An AU where Arlecchino is the one managed to escape while Niko stayed behind, leading to him touching upon The Abyss to defeat Crucabena and become the next head of The House of The Hearth. All children refers to him as "Mother".The path that I'll never see — A Fate-Swap AU where Niko and Wanderer swapped their fate. Niko is made by Focalor as a half human, half Closkwork Meka who is shunned by her own people, leading to him running away from the nation to survive on his own and ended up joining the Fatui while Wanderer is made by Ei but became a wandering puppeteer reowned for his craft and puppet show.
